About Silverman Hall
By providing a common ground for interdisciplinary research, the Institute will stimulate discoveries in the basic sciences and facilitate advances in the areas of disease prevention, detection, and treatment.
As a long-standing leader in the areas of chemical and biological research, Northwestern continues to produce significant
findings and solutions advancing basic science and its application in the field of medicine. The initiatives of the Institute
require the most advanced physical environment including revolutionary technologies and leading scientists. The CLP
Institute, operating from its new home in The Richard and Barbara Silverman Hall for Molecular Therapeutics and Diagnostics
will enable researchers to expand their studies and explore many unprecedented areas of science and medicine, ushering
Northwestern into a new realm of medical solutions, including the creation of innovative facilities within the new building.
As top scientists at Northwestern establish new methods, modes of analysis, and approaches to scholarship within specialized sciences, they will benefit from the support of CLP and the facilities available in the new building. The Institute provides a unique opportunity where the sciences merge, expanding across disciplines, shifting and developing new horizons of study. As a result, the centers and facilities of the Institute will continue to reach important human health and treatment goals for years to come, delivering on the vision of CLP.
The Chemistry of Life Processes Institute will be housed in the Richard and Barbara Silverman Hall for Molecular Therapeutics and Diagnostics, expected to be completed in the Fall of 2009.
