The Biomedical Engineering Society has awarded Chemistry of Life Processes Institute faculty member Evan A. Scott, Northwestern AssistantProfessor of Biomedical Engineering, their 2017 Cellular and Molecular Engineering Rising Star Award. The rising star award designates exceptional junior principal investigators, and awardees are invited to give a podium presentation at their annual conference, this year held in Hawaii.

The annual conference theme, “A Gateway Toward the Future – Imaging and Reprogramming of the Cell,” brought together researchers from disparate disciplines to discuss the latest research breakthroughs in cellular and molecular bioengineering, featuring presentations on molecular engineering, live cell imaging and manipulation, with applications in immunoengineering and stem cell engineering.
