The Cornew Innovation Fund

One of the ways in which the Institute fosters new team science is through The Cornew Innovation Fund, a pilot project program named after founding CLP Executive Advisory Board member, Stuart Cornew, Managing Director, AnswerMine, who tirelessly contributes to the mission of the Institute. The Fund supports potentially high-value, high-risk research at the juncture of multiple disciplines.  Our annual Cornew Innovation Awards program, made possible by the generous support of the CLP Executive Advisory Board, provides seed money to jump-start promising multi-disciplinary research.

These collaborative projects have resulted in early diagnostics for lung cancer, new treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, better surgical adhesives, novel technologies that foster growth of vein grafts, and surprising new insights into the earliest stages of fertilization and embryonic development.
